Each litter
produced will consist of puppies with different abilities and potential.

Family
Companion Puppy
These are
young, healthy puppies with outstanding temperaments, dispositions, and good
bodies. Using our best judgment, there
may be several reasons why we categorize
a puppy as pet quality.
One reason is that the puppy may lack what is defined as
conformation faults on a dog’s appearance in relation to the written breed
standard
that is needed for a showing career, flaws as simple as markings,
size,
coat texture. Most of these pups will make excellent obedience, therapy, and
agility prospects. But probably would not do well in
the show ring. Pet puppies
will share the same genes for good health, temperament and longevity, as their
show oriented littermates.
Family
companion puppies cannot be bred and come with a
Limited AKC Registration. We
require that these puppies be spayed or neutered by
7 months of age.

Show and
Breed Prospect
A
show quality pup is one that we believe not only has the quality necessary to
improve the breed as a sire or dam, but also has the
potential to earn a title
in the conformation show ring. This puppy will
have few, if any faults as
described in the german shepherd breed standards. This puppy will also have
something extra that will recognize
him or her as a winner in the ring.
A breed
quality puppy should also be
free of disqualifying or genetic faults, even if he
or she is not showing in
the conformation show ring. We identify breed quality
dogs as those dogs that will add something valuable to our lines or to the lines
of other
breeders. Such as good bone structure, dark eye, correct ear set.
Show/Breed
puppies come with Full AKC Registration.
All breed quality dogs should be
tested and certified free of genetic faults.

Pick Of The
Litter
This is a
puppy that we have graded as exceptional and is reserved for people who want to
breed, work, or show German shepherds, or for
those who just want the best of
the best. They would come from the “show and breed prospect” category but would
demonstrate that extra something, setting them apart from the rest. Generally,
these puppies
stay with us. But sometimes we are unable to keep another puppy
or sometimes there is more than one in a litter, at which point a
“pick of the
litter” will be available. There are times we will have a
litter that doesn’t
produce such a dog.
“Pick Puppies” come with Full AKC Registration and Breeding
Rights.
What
is most important… is that the correct puppy is matched with the correct home,
whether it be a show home or a companion home. Both types of homes are equally
important!!
The
right home gives that puppy the best opportunity of a life-long loving
relationship with its family.
